Master of Museum and Heritage Studies Taster Class: The digital pivot – Connecting with community in the age of covid
The opportunities for museums to engage with audiences during lockdown has transformed ideas of participation. This masterclass will showcase current research into global trends that question traditional ideas of museum engagement, learning and the role of collecting institutions. How have institutions maintained a connection, and even built community, during periods of physical isolation?

The class will also showcase how the Chau Chak Wing Museum has responded to the pandemic by engaging with audiences online. The Academic Engagement Curator invites you to experience the museum’s digital outreach and engagement initiatives firsthand in this practical session.

At the end of the taster class, attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions about the Master of Museum and Heritage Studies.
